Education Expo 2012 - Karachi

KARACHI: On the concluding day of two-day Education Expo 2012, thousands of students on Sunday thronged the Expo Centre as the students were of the view that the advice they received during the exhibition would help them develop a fruitful career.


Many visiting students believed that setting up career counseling institutions by the government would help them flourish in their respective disciplines while they also demanded that such exhibitions should become a regular feature as it also provides them with some fresh ideas from their busy day-to-day life.

"Such activities help in a lot of aspect of a student as it provides us with unique experience which is not available in the regular curriculum.

More of such events would not only help the student flourish in their respective field but also give them confidence to interest with different people", said Mustafa at Expo Centre Karachi.

On the other hand, many students were of the view that career counseling institutions were the need of the hour as our educational institutions had failed to make any progress in this regard.

"I would say that many of our educational institutions were doing their job fine in other aspects but career counseling remains the neglected one.

I demand the authorities to set-up institutions where a student could benefit from the services of these experts", said Farhan Ahmed.

This exhibition is the largest Education Expo to be held in Pakistan and will assemble over 150 leading international & local universities, colleges and higher education institutes, notably from the Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, North Cyprus, Turkey U.K., Australia, U.S.A. & U.A.E. & Pakistan over the two days of the exhibition and allows faculty, admission officers & career counselors to interact with over 15,000 top achieving Pakistani students directly on a one on one basis also giving them the opportunity to enroll on the spot with many of the institutions.

The exhibition after traveling from Islamabad and Lahore concludes in Karachi.

The event, as every year is scheduled at a strategic time, which coincides with the admission drive in education institutes & will be attracting students from various academias’ seeking information, coordination and enrolment details from the participating institutes. (PPI)
